Guided Rocky Ramble: 480 million years of Manx Geological History, Sunday 9th August

On this half day tour we will visit the classic geological localities of Langness and Scarlett and see rocks and structures from every stage of the the development of the Isle of Man. You will see faults, folds, volcanoes and fossils, all explained by a former professional geologist and teacher of geology. Some transport between Langness and Scarlett will be available. 5km of walking, lots of talking! 4-5 hours.

John Barker has lived on the Isle of Man for over thirty years and in that time has walked, cycled, run, climbed, dived, watched wildlife and studied the geology of this fantastic rock in the Irish Sea.
