Dreadful weather today (Sunday 14th Feb) meant that I cancelled the walk up Colden. I have rescheduled this for Sunday April 4th, it is a great short hill walk in the centre of the island and apart form one boggy section it is a delight!
I am also adding one more walk to the list after checking the route out last week. This is Slieau Curn and Slieau Dhoo from Glen Dhoo, a superb walk I had planned in 202 but cancelled as one path was severely overgrown. It is fine now that the bracken and brambles have died back and offers a way onto the north western hills that not many people are aware of. There are also tholtans Bronze Age and medieval settlements to discover along the way.
This walk is planned for Friday 26th March and starts from the car park for Ballaugh plantation. You can book these walks by emailing me, via the Facebook page or by the Bookwhen page that I am trailing – https://bookwhen.com/manxmountainactivities
